Religious Education

ACHESON-MICHAEL-188From the desk of the Regional Director of Religious Education

Faith-Fellowship-Fun – these are the hallmarks of a religious education program. It is my duty as Regional Director of Religious Education to see that these goals are being met. If you are a child or an adult and attend any of our religious education classes and programs, you should leave with a better understanding of your Catholic faith, you will get to know people in our faith community that you may not have met before, and you should have fun – which is something as director, I will always try to promote.

The class schedules at Queen of Angels and Saint Joseph’s for the 2018-2019 school year will be announced in August.

We have a K-5 Program for both parishes which meets every other week on Wednesdays.

All those children preparing for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion, even if you are a student at Queen of Angels, will be required to attend religious education classes. The sacrament of the Eucharist is the “source and summit of our faith”, a lifetime commitment to Jesus, and the community of His Catholic Church.

We also have a Middle School Program and  High School Program

The Confirmation Program is open to anyone of high school age who has meant the Archdiocesan requirements. Classes are combined between Queen of Angels and St. Joseph parishes.

Thank you.

Note:  A fee of $20 per child (subject to means) is requested to cover the cost of his/her books.
